Dorcas Namwendwa joined Development Bank of Kenya in January 2020 to spearhead and oversee the setup of the Human Resources department. She has over twelve years of experience in senior management as a Human Resources Generalist, leading organizational development and human resource initiatives that link human capital to strategic business results.

Before joining Development Bank of Kenya, Dorcas served as the Head of Human Resources at Middle East Bank Kenya Limited. She also worked at Trans-National Bank Limited (now Access Bank) in various senior and middle-level management positions in the Human Resources department.

She holds a Master's of Science and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, both specializing in Human Resources. She is a Certified Human Resources Professional of Kenya (CHRP-K), holds a Post-graduate Higher National Diploma in Human Resources, and is a member of the Institute of Human Resources Management (IHRM). Dorcas has twenty-eight years of banking experience.
