Mrs. Rose Mambo was appointed as an Independent Director to the Development Bank of Kenya Board of Directors on 10th February 2020 and re-appointed on 4th May, 2023.

Rose holds a Master of Laws degree from the American University in Washington DC, an MBA from Strathmore University, and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Secretaries, Kenya.

Rose has previously worked as the CEO of the Central Depository & Settlement Corporation Ltd (CDSC), as the Head of Legal and Compliance and Company Secretary at the Nairobi Securities Exchange. She has also served as a State Counsel at the Attorney General’s Chambers, participated in the Review of Companies Law Task Force, and headed the Copyright Office.

She has over twenty-five years’ C-Suite experience in capital markets, governance, company law, and administration, both in Government and the private sector.

Rose is the Chair of Women Corporate Directors (Kenya) Chapter; Chair of the Board of Acorn Investment Management Limited (AIML); Chair of the Board of Airtel Money Kenya Ltd; Chair of the Board of CIC Insurance General Business; Chair of the Board of Digital Opportunity Trust Kenya; and Vice Chair of the Kenya Community Development Foundation. She also serves on the Boards of Development Bank of Kenya, Onfon Mobile Ltd, St Bakhita Schools, and Karen Country Club.

Rose serves as the Chairperson of the Board Governance and Human Resource Committee and is a Member of the Board Strategy, Business Development and ICT Committee.
