Mr. Jackson Mutua was appointed as a Director of the Development Bank of Kenya on 2nd November, 2021, and re-appointed on 4th May, 2023.

He holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option), both from the University of Nairobi.

Mr. Mutua has over 20 years of experience spanning telecommunications, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), agriculture, logistics, and manufacturing. In the telecommunications sector, he serves as a Regional Business Lead at a leading telco, focusing on enterprise business, data, voice, and fintech.

His expertise in FMCG stems from leadership roles at Eveready East Africa and Best Foods International. He also gained extensive knowledge of agribusiness operations while working with Karirana Estates Limited and contributed to operational excellence at Transami Kenya Limited.

Over the years, Mr. Mutua has developed a robust skill set that includes strategic financial management, business development, marketing, customer engagement, operational optimization, and logistics management. His expertise in fintech, data, and enterprise solutions further underscores his versatility and impact across diverse industries.

He is a member of the Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (CPA (K)), Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (CPS (K)), and the Institute of Directors (IOD).

Mr. Mutua serves as the Chairperson of the Board Audit Committee.
